Tutorial - Tire Tread in Sketchup (Large File!)

At the request of a commenter, here is a tutorial of my method for real 3d tire tread in Google/Trimble Sketchup. May it guide young modelers straight and true.

Note: This tutorial is written for a Sketchup user of novice to intermediate skill level, assuming they are generally familiar with the program and are self-sufficient at general modeling.

Nerd points awarded to those who can identify the vehicles for all the tires in the last frame minus the one that I made up.
